





Biography
Crimson Day is a female-fronted heavy metal band from Tampere, Finland. Playing together since 2013 the band combines classic heavy metal riffs with modern elements, breaking the genre boundaries with passion. The band has performed almost a hundred shows in Finland and abroad and the band is about to release their fourth studio album in 2026.
Crimson Day was founded in 2013 by the bass player Jesse ”Kämy” Kämäräinen and during the same year Crimson Day’s first EP was released. The first album Order of the Shadows was released at the end of 2015 by the German record label Iron Shield Records. The second studio album At the Mountains of Madness saw the light of day in January 2018 followed by the first official tour in Finland.
In January 2020 the band’s frontman changed to a frontwoman and the band released two new singles and music videos Raising the Fury and Black as the Heavens Above to introduce new members. In 2022 the band released a cover version of the legendary Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin and their version of the song was highly praised in the social media. In 2022 Crimson Day released four new singles and music videos Crimson Day, Night to Forget, Mortal Undead and The Eternal Night of The Mind. The third album “Crimson Day” was released at the end of March 2023. In 2024, the band released covers of Bonnie Tyler’s classic ”Holding Out for a Hero” and Shakira’s pop hit ”Objection (Tango)” that attracted a lot of positive attention. Music videos were also filmed for both songs. In 2025, Crimson Day has recorded material for a new album, and the fourth album is currently being mixed & mastered.
Crimson Day has been active with gigs and in addition to the shows in Finland they’ve also performed in Baltic countries as well as in Germany. In 2015 Crimson Day was playing as an opening act for the Swedish heavy metal band Wolf and in 2018 they toured with the Estonian metal band Herald. The band has also been performing in festivals in Finland sharing the stage with famous acts such as Sonata Arctica, Turmion Kätilöt and Turisas. In 2023 Crimson Day played at summer festivals sharing the stage once again with legendary acts such as Turmion Kätilöt, Reckless Love and Korpiklaani. Crimson Day’s singles have been playing in radio channels all over the world including USA, Brazil, Germany, France, Portugal and more. In YouTube the band has over 100 000 views and more than ten music videos have gained a lot of great feedback from the fans and reaction channels.
